V.I. Day For The Terroristical Killers

Bush’s bluff has been called. He was counting on Iraq not asking for a timetable for US troop withdrawal. Now they have. Indeed, the very country that would “fall into chaos” if we were to leave is asking us to start packing up our things. I guess Iraq just wants to surrender and hand a victory to the terrorists, who will most assuredly be emboldened by a US withdrawal. I blame Democrats, who the Iraqis are clearly taking after here.

Bush has already dismissed the timetable idea, even though he previously said we would leave if asked by the Iraqi government. "Shut up, Spock! We're rescuing you."

W knows best?

Iraq, there’s no way we can “quit you” in the near future. We’ve got too much money – in the form of bloated defense budgets, war-profiteering mercenary contractors and promises of oodles of barrels of lucrative Mesopotamian dinosaur juice to big petroleum – tied up in this operation to walk away now.

Besides, we want to make sure leaving looks like our idea. We may lose a couple thousand more soldiers before all is said and done, but we will save face. Well, in our own minds. We are already quite faceless before most of the world now.

Gee, Pete, you are always such a bright ray of sunshine in an otherwise dark and dreary morning.

Ok, I was being sarcastic, but it is always nice to see a new post from you. Blogland misses you.

And you are right, we will leave when we (and I mean Dick & Dubya) are damned good and ready. I wanted us out of there in 2002 & we weren't even there yet! I was against this damn war before it was cool.

How about an update post on what is going on in your life?

Yikes, to pull out or not... that's the Q of the Day being discussed everywhere it seems.

Hell, I truly don't know if pulling out early will just leave a big ole cum stain on the tummy of the Middle East or will save us from impregnating it.

lol... sorry, too punchy this morning for serious debate.

I'm with the lady leaning over the left, above me.... more about YOU! ;P

hey, thanx for the heads up 'bout Infite....that was too cool to pass!

Oh boy, I'll tell y'the saddest part if it hasn't dawned on ya yet. We are stuck there.

I can hardly believe it, but, if y'notice Obama, you'll see where he's of the same mind.
Oh, he wants out.
Near as I can tell, most of us want out.
Sure, it would be nice to have the oil, but, dang. It's almost like it's evaporating at the well, anyway. They say blackmarket, theft, backroom shuffling....
C'mon.
I detest terrorism, but, putting a bomb out in public is probably too easy. Stealing several million barrels of oil? Now, that's something else, altogether.

That short, bald clown wants to 'stay the course' after Bush junior so bad....so bad....
Just as cocksure of getting the oil here as Davis was sure he could sustain the South's secession. But, even if he got it coming again, there's still the question that the Japanese brought up near twenty plus years ago.
It's done.
There is already a limit on how much oil there is to be had.

I think the original call was that it would last till 2035 at a steady pull.
My guess is - (yeah....guess. There aren't any solid theories here. Not from me, not from the government, and certainly not the media) - at some point the stupid government is going to cap our use, here and abroad.

It would be so much better if we could just stop going with the idea that we have
#1 a right to the oil anywhere,
#2 no other option other than internal combustion.

The smart folks are working on finding ways around that piece of crap transportation NOW.

And, with that in mind, and the idiot brag that we can 'hit' anyplace in the world within hours....SCREAMS to GET THE DICKENS OUT'A THERE!

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!
BRING THEM HOME NOW!

course, it's just my opinion.

LLL - thanks for stopping by... not a lot to share right now about me... I just had to post this when I heard about it... too rich a story not to blog...

LB - you've given "international relations" a whole new meaning - and I love it! I think if we humans did more f-ing there'd be less fightin'

bone - no worries... thought you would appreciate that... I agree with your comments - especially your message of troop support! it's a mess, and we're still letting the mess-maker call the shots...

I'll second LB, LL & Boney on that, make love not war- bring the troops home!
Yes please some more about you Pete, you have been missed, I read that you went to a Tom Waits concert, so that's where you've been! ;)

Dianne - I drove to Atlanta over the weekend to see Tom... FYI, that's around 900 miles round trip... anyway, the show was amazing...

what's new with me? new job since beginning of April, new computer since (I think) April and new car TODAY! my previous computer and car were both from the late 90s and on their last legs... nothing new to speak of in the personal realm...

Good to hear from you! Gosh you have been busy, hope you like the new job, I'm guessing the new computer is working out and wow a New car today.
Nothing exciting on the personal front here; I need a new computer that's for sure. People keep telling me that I should start my own Blog, easier said than done, dont have a scanner, decent camera or video camera. I bought a new 4cylinder small car just over a year ago as someone stole my car which I had owned for 16years. Great car but the new one is good, very reliable and easy on the petrol/gas. xoxox :)

dianne - all you need is a computer and your fingers to blog... do it! my own blog has always been a 95% text affair, with occasional pics or video...

16 years is a long time for a car! the one I just got rid of was about 12 years old... fuel efficiency (and warranty and price) led my search for the new car... maybe I'll post a pic of the new BogsMobile sometime...

I like the idea of supporting the troops by getting them out now.

We sure as hell didn't learn our lesson about gas guzzlers after the oil crisis of the 70's did we?

Maybe this time we will. Not a chance.

btw, I'm still driving my '95 Del Sol VTEC. However, I do have my eye on a 2009 Honda S2000 in bright red. Who knows, maybe this will be the year.

Fuel was expensive in Europe too. Just got back from a few weeks visit. I'm reporting about it on my blog.

I agree with you also when you encourage Dianne to start her blog. It is very easy. With all the help we can provide, she will be a pro at it in no time.

Pete & Jack, thanks guys for the encouragement about my own Blog, I hope to start one eventually but I think the main ingredients are 'talent & something interesting to write about'. My life is so uninteresting at present even I dont like it much and as for talent well I haven't been inspired enough to write a poem for quite some time and the last watercolour I painted was months ago.
Looking forward to seeing a pic of your BogsMobile Pete - mine is a white Toyota Corolla, nothing flashy but she's cute. :)

jack - nice to see you, friend! I looked at a Honda Fit, which is a decent car gas mileage-wise, but the salesman was a complete ass and I didn't want to give him business...

I did read an article yesterday about a number of electric cars coming out in the next few years... let's hope that works out, and that we can eventually tell big oil to cram it with a sharp stick!

dianne - hang in there... inspiration comes when least expected...

Thanks Pete I wont give up hope. :) xoxox

Nice "news" source. Was LeftistTraitorMoron.Com's site down?

You're dumber than dirt. Which is probably a good thing.

Pete Bogs said...

troll - this was reported widely in the press... you are using a classic consternative technique: smear the messenger rather than address the factuality of the claim... nice job - Karl Rove would be proud...

Lil Bit said...

Damn! I can disagree with you on some issues & things w/o calling you dumb or even thinking it.
What crawled up the Troll's butt? Sheesh.

Pete Bogs said...

that's because you are class all the way, lil bit... I want this to be a place where alternative viewpoints can be discussed; some people are incapable of being civil in that regard...

Lil Bit said...

Now you're making me blush. =*)

Too bad some can't live & let live...

btw, Dianne! ~ Start your blog, girl! =)
'Ain't nothin' but a thang' to do. lol

... oh yeah, and congrats on all the "new-ness", Pete.
I could reeeeeally use a new 'puter, job, and car. LOL
