COMMENTARY, SATIRE & MISCELLANEA
I wonder if the kids in this video shopped for their Halloween costumes at the same place these ones did.questionable costume choices How fast they grow up these days, with the Internets and the Britney Spears music!
Remind me that next time you label something as "adult content" that I really should not watch it at work! :-) Cute video. I will look at the costume choices from home.
LLL - sorry, but do read those tags! in general, any multimedia stuff (which I rarely post, as I prefer to write original material) should be treated with caution... lol...PS: the costume choices is a text newspaper article, with limited visuals... as in, safe for work... fyi
grrrerhahaha. you know whats EVEN MORE DISTURBING than the sexy childrens costumes? the fact that kids now go to BUY a costume at a store.instead of making it out of a weird combination of whatever you could find at home. so sad. now its some polyester crap you buy in a bag. what child thinks of being a french maid? this is insane. i hate the prefab world. and themes. whatever happened to hobo? i guess it just got shorted up to"ho" grrrehahaLLL! what are you doing here? shouldnt you be on your honeymoon? i wish you every happiness and congratulations to your new husband.
she - I think LLL's just back after a week...I had a homemade costumes and store-bought ones (from Woolworth's) when I was young... I was a scarecrow one year (Mom-made) and Evil Kneivel another (store-bought); I still have pics of some of this, from circa '73/'74...
Aw, heck..thought yore headline today would be Kos KO's Hillary.
post the pix's then!
She-Pupo, ya' talkin' ter me?http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/11/2/12255/5332
aunt b - I think she meant me and my Halloween pics... but I could be wrong
>>.yep, I think youse right...but Bawgs, jes' fer fun, read the comments on that Daily Kos link--HILARIOUS--some think the Daily Kos is now part of the Right Wing Consipiracy against the Hill-pill---oooooh!
aunt b - I get an error page when I go to that link... I like your Kos KO's Hillary headline, though...ON TOPIC: I think this video is brilliant because I love satire, and anything that makes consternos uncomfortable... there's a serious message there (abstinence education = ignorance) with which I happen to agree, wrapped in a humorous package... too bad writers are going on strike now...it is wrong, however, to sexualize every girls' Halloween costume... you can be a witch or a nurse without having "sexy" in front of it...
Bawgs, OFF topic, I'se readin' the trials and travails of the WGA whose striking over how their writin' gigs is handled by Hollywood--so wi'f you bein' a writer and all, I was thinkin' on ya--does ya wanna try to git a job writin' Letterman's script for the duration of the strike?
When will we ever learn?
aunt b - read my post from 10/15 for your answer...jack - my sentiments exactly!
Pete, I finally managed a few minutes to check out the teen costume article and I am just very thankful that I have a son! He still dresses up like Batman! She, thank you for the good wishes. We did take a week off, but sadly had to return to the real world. And I agree with you about the homemade costumes. We missed a party (grown ups) while we were gone and ALL of the costumes were store bought. My favorite costume is that of a brain donor. Scrubs, gauze, face paint, fake blood and a head of cauliflower in bloody water! Ahhhh, the good ol days. I do have a few pre-wedding photos up. My face (or most of it) revealed!
