Hands-On Military Recruitment Tactics

Uncle Sam wants YOU… to drop your pants and bend over. Or maybe kneel in front of him while he unzips his striped pants.

According to information that came to light earlier this week, over 100 teenage girls reported being sexually assaulted by US military recruiters after they inquired about enlistment.

Apparently many recruiters are no longer satisfied with preying on young people simply for national service, and have moved on to the use of their typically underage bodies in the service of their own physical desires.

The call to duty has become a booty call.

It occurs to me: Whether these unfortunate girls are seduced by recruiters and end up not enlisting, or they do sign up and get sent into the disaster that is Iraq, either way, they’re fucked. Both situations are shameful.

hmmmm...well...as much as i am against agressive and deceptive military recruitment and would prefer our young people to avoid the option, say in favor of a regular job or college, i have to ask -

100 girls/80 recrutiers - HOW many recruiters are there?

1 rape or molestation is too much, but i'd like to get a sense of the pervasiveness of the problem.

as an aside - at one point in my life, i looked into the military - the navy. developed quite a crush on the recruiter - even had him over to my apartment for breakfast (i made eggs benedict). i knew even then that the only reason the recruiter accepted my offer was 1) he's was a guy - hoping for some booty (he didn't get any) and 2) he was a recruiter - hoping for a recruit - he didn't get that either in the long run. i joined up, but got married before i shipped out (a lot happened between in the 8 months i signed up and the date i was to report for duty) - so they discharged me, honorably, at my request. don't think they do that these days anymore - the honorable discharge upon request...apparently, recruiters are still trying for that booty.

bird - so breakfast wasn't after spending the night there? ;-)

I've stated in the past that I think the military have no place talking to young people; they should therefore only be allowed to talk to and recruit adults... I used the word "prey" intentionally here... I consider even their non-sexual approaches to teens immoral... this was the perverse icing on the cake...

I know you would have made a fine sailor, though... as long as none of the crew killed you and ended up wearing you about their neck amidst the incessant doldrums... black lips baked and throats unslaked, etc....

Don't think these recruiters are very professional in any way. What is their education? What are their qualifications to do this "human resources" job?

Sounds very suspicious to me!

Not good enough!

Had/have some problems here as well, now women are being trained alongside men especially in Officers training school.

There seems to be a problem with men behaving professionally.

Some have not evolved very far have they?

Recruiting, sadly is no different than car sales and who loves car salesmen? right. It is another duty among the many other not so honorable duties that my brothers have to do, it is shameful how this group of individuals will produce all kinds of generalizations, but it happens to presidents as well. The good thing though is that the military is not the world that we live in so they will have no J.Cockroachcran on their side to make them innocent. In the military, you play you pay, or you just pay without even playing.

This story is inaccurate and is a leftwing propaganda piece.

hell, et al - 100+ was the number of reported assaults... a lot of incidents like this are not reported for one reason or another, so there were probably more...
